The standard-bearer of the hamburger, McDonald's, is bowing to local demand and is opening a meat-free restaurant in India.

That would drive up their prices and then they wouldn't be fast food. They would be more like a restaurant. I know they're unhealthy but its as simple as just not eating there. It is a fast food place so you gotta take it for what it is.

Not true. The price increase, yes. But the rest, no. There are two great organic burger places in Austin, TX. Terra Burger and Elevation Burger.

Further, the obesity epidemic is (in part) a direct result of all of these easily accessible fast food. This drives up the cost of "sick care". So, no, it really isn't as simple as "just don't eat there".

I have a place for organic burgers and I have a place for yummy cheap food. Organic burgers and fast food don't mix well just a better way of cooking like In-N-Out. I know its not simple for everyone to not eat there, I ate there a lot in college because it is cheap but it seems easy for you to not eat there and thats what I meant. Just don't eat there and accept that its fast food.

I'm not sure that this would even appeal to a vegetarian; it's still the same company that's responsible for slaughtering countless cows for the "traditional" Mcdonald's chain, right?
